Members of the Department are given individual email accounts on the central University email system: Exchange Online (ExOL), which is run by UIS (University Information Services), who provide a wide range of documentation, information and FAQs about use of email within Cambridge (see here).
When you sign in to your Microsoft Exchange Online account for the first time, you will also need to set up your second factor for authentication – find out more at https://help.uis.cam.ac.uk/mfa
We can provide help on configuring your email program. The programs we support for ExOL are Outlook on Windows and Apple Mail on Mac OS. Webmail can also be used to access ExOL email from any platform and the UIS provide additional advice for some other email programs.
The Department also provides various other email services, both internally and in conjunction with UIS.
