Accounts are automatically prepared for all expected staff, engineering students and academic visitors. You will receive details of your account as part of your induction process into the Department.

Occasionally computing facilities are needed for Department of Engineering work by someone who falls outside the above remit. Please see the following special cases section on how to apply for a computer account in these circumstances.

Academic Collaborators

An academic collaborator is someone who is not officially part of the Department, but who is working with a member of the Department on a project of academic value. Please see the guidance on when an academic collaborator account is appropriate. The application for computing resources must be made by the academic sponsor. Please return the completed form to collaborator-forms@eng.cam.ac.uk

Non-Engineering students

Students involved in Engineering Department based student-led projects who need access to the Engineering Department buildings and/or Engineering IT facilities, should contact the IT Helpdesk.
