Managed Print charges
There are two types of balance that can be used to pay for Managed Print usage, these are detailed below.
The Managed Print Portal allows users to view details of their balance, transaction history and recent print jobs.
Local Balance
All Engineering users that are eligible to use the Managed Print Service at Engineering will be allocated a departmental balance to pay for usage. This is called the Local Balance.
Common Balance
For personal print and copy requirements users can buy credit that is then made available for use on Managed Print devices as part of a Common Balance. The Managed Print Portal can be used to view and buy credit for the Common Balance.
How charges are applied
By default, all jobs will be charged to the users Engineering Local Balance if there are funds available. If there is no Local Balance then the users Common Balance, if available, will be used instead.
