What is MSC One?
MSC One provides access to a wide range of simulation software applications including a broad range of simulation tools and services.
Our 500 user / 3000 token academic network licence grants access to various CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) applications, including structural, fluid, and other simulation tools.
There is also access to an e-learning platform so you can develop new skills.

Access to MSC One.
Access to the licence costs £132 per annum. The licence runs from January 2025 – January 2026. All access purchased mid-year will be sold on a pro-rota basis at a cost of £11 per month.

Technical Information:
MSC One is available for use on Windows and Linux machines but has no direct MAC compatibility. This software can be made available on HPC as requested. This software can be made available to staff and students across Cambridge University.
Installation instructions:
On departmental Windows computers the 2024.2 version software can be accessed via the Software Centre. Access will be via CRSid only, following receipt of payment.
