What are Routers and WAPs?
A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks, and a WAP is a networking device that allows other Wi-FI devices to connect to a wired or wireless network.
Use of Personal Routers and WAPs
ICS strictly prohibit the use of these devices on the CUED network. Using such devices on our network is in violation of our network rules, by bypassing the requirement that all systems on our network must be registered with us. The department offers options for both wired and wireless connections. Should these options not be suitable for your requirements, please contact us to discuss.
